Just to start things out
Ok, well here’s the deal: I’m starting this blog because I have faith in mankind in a time when it seems no one else has any; I’m starting this blog because I want to share my faith in mankind. I have a lot of good things to say about stuff, and I am an experienced enough writer to think that I can say stuff well enough when I write it. (I’m fairly confident in both of those assertions of myself, but I mean, shit, I could be wrong.)
Stuff:
1. I’m going to use some irreverent language (‘irreverent’ used without religious connotations) in my blog, but will usually do so in a not-crude manner. This is to say that I’ll use explicatives for emphasis or to set the casual tone I wish to convey, but I won’t use them in like a crude way, you know what I mean?
2. I’m not religious. I know a decent bit about religion, and may be able to defeat someone in a religious debate, but I am not personally religious. I was raised Catholic though, in case you were wondering.
3. I’m not super political. I really know very little about politics. It’s just not my thing. Don’t start hating if I accidentally make some political mistake, I’m bound to eventually.
4. Ummm… I’m a writer, and I use J.L. McGrael as my writer’s name too. So if you happen to see anything written by a certain J.L. McGrael, then I’m super excited you’re seeing my stuff. Not all of it will be great though, as it goes with any writer.
5. My passion for writing and for expressing things comes from my struggle for a voice as a stutterer, just a fun little fact for you.
Ok, I’m about to start ranting if I keep adding numbers to this list so I’m going to stop. Cool.
One last thing though: I’m not stupid. I know what I’m saying. You can hold me accountable for pretty much anything I say. Just don’t be an asshole about it; I’m not infallible.
